Vintage. Pink. Lace. And this stunning girl. All of it makes me swoon!
I’ll admit, it’s been a while since I’ve looked through these photos. My summer got so busy, and now that I finally have the chance to look through them again, I’m overwhelmed. This photo shoot was a life changing event for me. The one that turned me from an okay photographer to the kind of photographer that can get great straight-out-of camera shots. These were taken in the middle of the day. During the “worst” light. And while I do still prefer to shoot during the golden hour, now I know what to do in case I don’t have that option.
When I got married, I wanted the best photographer to shoot it. And when I wanted my photography to get better, I wanted the best photographer to teach me. Both were the same, Camilla Binks. (Okay, maybe I’m a little biased, but I love her work!) This woman has been a mentor and a friend to me. She is an incredible artist, photographer, and person. And I’m so super grateful to her for teaching me some of her secrets. It really turned my photography around. If you want more information on mentoring with the fabulous Camilla Binks, please check out her info page about it here.
