Lindsey & Alan // Jardines de San Juan Wedding

The story of how Lindsey and Alan met is a rather unusual one. Lindsey was having a girl’s night out with one of her friends, and Alan was having a guy’s night out with one is his friends. And it just so happened that the two ended up in the same dive bar towards the end of the night. Lindsey’s friend recognized Alan’s friend and the two started chatting. Lindsey, noticing that Alan’s not dancing, points to Alan and insists that HE is dancing with HER. At first he protests, “I don’t dance….” But the ever-persistent Lindsey grabs his hand, pulls him toward the dance floor, and says, “You do tonight!” And the rest is proverbial history

Tell me about yourself. What do other people say about you? What do you do for a living? What do you like to eat, watch, do, listen to in your free time? 

I am very outgoing and a people person who like to be on the go. I manage 3 tanning salons, so I deal with clients on a daily basis and manage 19 employees. I have been at the salon for 14 years and LOVE it! I like to laugh and make others laugh with me. My favorite food is pretty much anything Mexican (burrito, enchiladas, taco salad …I love it all), I am a sucker for a good chick flick/ love story but also like scary movies. I watch ID Discovery every night before bed (unless the episode on is to scary and I have to change it) and love crime shows. I listen to a wide variety of music from country, pop, rap, some rock, and now funk and soul thanks to Alan. 🙂

Tell me about your fiancé. What kind of person are they? What do they do for a living? What do they enjoy? What are your favorite things about him/her?

Alan is the complete opposite of me. He is very shy and quite until you break him out of his shell. He is a middle school history teacher and is very passionate about what he does. He enjoys collecting and listening to records, working in the yard, running, playing with our dog and of course spending time with me. 😉 He is a very kind and generous person and is always willing to help others out. He is very loving and thoughtful.

Name 5 places you have been together. Especially places that are unique or mean something to you as a couple

1.  Thailand – our longest vacation together and one of the best times of my life. We have a blast exploring and spending time together
2. Hawaii – our first “real’ vacation together and it was perfect!
3. Idaho/Montana- we went to Yellowstone and the Tetons which was absolutely beautiful. We both enjoy spending time in nature and Alan LOVES national parks so this was a great trip.
4. Arizona – we had a great week visiting his old college campus and attending one of his friends from college’s wedding
5. Trinity – where he proposed and one of our favorite camping spots

What is your favorite thing to do together as a couple?

We love to go wine tasting and be outdoors. We have joined a couple of wineries that we enjoy driving the back roads to with the windows down and music blasting.
